Approval of Minutes

·         There was a motion and a second to approve the minutes February 18th. Approved.

Budget Update

Presenter: Wiliton

·         Joanne has been meeting with students and trying to come up with different ideas on tuition increase ideas.

·         Next Wednesday, March 9th, Joanne will take the proposed budget to the board meeting.

·         All employee layoff notifications will go out on Friday, March 11th.

·         Could Joanne or Elizabeth come to the next College Council meeting to discuss the Clarus recommendations?

Classified

·         Hosting a PERS Q & A today in McLoughlin auditorium.

Part-time Faculty

·         Nothing.

Full-time Faculty

·         There have been a lot of meetings with the administration around budget and the bond.

Exempt

·         Nothing.

ASG

·         E-cycle BBQ next Wednesday, March 9th.

·         March 12th is a Dodgeball tournament.

·         Battle of the bands auditions on March 25th from 9-5 and April 21st from 9-5.

·         Monday evening of finals week will be the Skills contest day for just the Math portion. The other contests are still being considered for a new day. It’s being considered for a weekend.

CLC

·         Next Friday is a discussion of grant writing for innovation. The grants can be more for the usual mini-grant amounts. The usual mini-grant amounts are $1500.

·         March 18th is a webinar about veterans and how to support them during their first year of their college year.
